Atlantic Blue is the ideal hideaway, located just over the causeway to the left - a quieter beach locale yet close to everything. Less traffic, fewer folks searching for shells along the soft sand beaches, and more tranquility and tranquility of mind. From here, the beach is two blocks away, and you can walk to Amos Mosquitos, walk over to favorite local hotspot Island Grille for their legendary bacon-wrapped filet mignon, and the "Circle" is just a mile away. Or... stay "homebound" and appreciate gathering together with ease at this four-story beach home. Your friends and family will flock here to spend time together and relax in the well appointed living spaces and on the five balconies - where you will be mesmerized by the sound of the crashing waves and take in vistas of both the ocean and sound.

This property has been lovingly refreshed from top to bottom to provide every comfort and convenience for guests! Four bedrooms, all with their own baths and outdoor access means there is plenty of space for all, and the three floor elevator makes it simple to transport your bags, your dinner, your shopping or yourselves from floor to floor.

The bedrooms have a variety of bed options, including king, queen, and bunk beds with a twin and queen combination. A futon bed/couch in the lower level game/additional room acts as the 4th bedroom. There is a sleeper couch in the main living area. Between the beach two blocks away and a game room, plus all the deck spaces, the kiddos will never be bored or bothersome.

Atlantic Blue has all of the modern coastal style you would hope for in a home and the unlimited appeal of a Crystal Coast vacation! Life is better at the beach!

New Bern vacation rental home tips:

Getting the most from your rental home budget:

  • Book your rental as early as possible. Rental schedules often become available a year in advance (or in September just after Summertime ends). Many groups reserve their Summer vacation rentals during Christmas and Thanksgiving get-togethers. Book before these holidays for best selection.
  • Book your New Bern vacation home in Spring or Fall to enjoy beautiful weather while saving money and avoiding crowded roads, restaurants, and activities. Many vacationers use this method to find larger homes within budget, or to book a beach front rental that would otherwise be unavailable during the Summer months. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook the holidays for a New Bern vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday near the ocean? Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Years are great times to gather with family and friends at your favorite beach.
  • Property managers sometimes offer special rates for veterans. Check with your property manager to see if special offers are available for your family before you book.
  • Booking websites typically offer renters an option to purchase vacation insurance. Trip insurance, which commonly will cost you between 1% - 5% of the base reservation price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for any days missed as a result of personal medical-related catastrophes or weather disasters, as well as evacuation costs, such as an unexpected hotel or extra fuel expenses. Trip insurance is definitely a life-saver if the unforeseen occurs. Ask your host for additional information.
  • Many property management companies and vacation rental houses supply New Bern area travel guides that include special offers, either offered directly by local companies, or through a partnership between the management company and the business itself. You can also find New Bern visitors guide magazine and coupon books at local grocery stores, shopping centers, and visitor centers.

Planning, picking, and booking a perfect New Bern vacation home:

  • To start, have your family choose date ranges and a max budget.
  • Determine how many beds and the configuration your group needs. Atlantic Blue- Pet Friendly, Oceanview Condo in Atlantic Beach, NC has 4 bedrooms and 5 bathrooms.
  • Specific information regarding bedrooms and bed counts & types is usually accessible online. If they are not listed, call the host before you book the property. Remember that most property listings specify the max. guest capacity, which often includes pull-out couches and bunk beds. You'll need to establish what configuration is optimal for your trip.
  • Some properties allow pets, and others do not. Acceptable types of dog or cat, weight and breeds may be restricted, and added charges may apply. Ask the property manager about pets before booking.
  • If there's an individual New Bern beach you love, search for properties that are either near by, or those that cater to your needs.
  • Appropriate accessibility can make or break a vacation for the less-mobile. Make certain to ask about specialized equipment and wheel chair accessibility.

More considerations for your visit:

  • Add the property manager's phone number to your smartphone. Print and take a copy of arrival/departure procedures.
  • Ask questions. You may need instructions for a garage door opener, A/V setup or thermostat. Contact your host. They are there to help! A brief telephone call can prevent a lot of problems.
  • Protect the rental owner (and your stuff!) by locking the property when you are away, just like you would back home.
  • To make sure that no damages are linked to your family's visit, inspect the property for any problem areas when you arrive. E-mail the host immediately to record any issues. If there is a dispute about legal responsibility later, having a record of concerns and contact attempts will be valuable.
  • Respect the neighborhood. Frequently, nearby homes are occupied by permanent residents. Respecting late-night quiet hours and parking rules reduces conflict and allows everyone to enjoy their day.
  • Don't forget to... Ask a local! Neighbors can often point you in the right direction. Who better to ask where to get the best seafood, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for crabbing?
  • Double-check the vacation property to confirm that you've packed everything on check-out day. Re-check bathrooms, dressers, and closets for hidden items. Clean out the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
  • Go through the rental one final time and keep an eye out for any damage. We advise walking through with the property manager whenever you can (often this isn't possible). If the host is not available, take video and pictures of the property to record its condition at check-out.
  • After your trip, leave a review! Hosts rely on good feedback to stimulate future bookings. They'll be grateful for your feedback. Alternatively, if something wasn't as described, other families will be thankful you shared your experience and help them have the best future vacation. Please be objective. If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the property manager had any control over the issue, and if so, whether they responded reasonably to fix it.
