Kick back and relax in this calm, classy beach bungalow. Sit on the back patio or on the private dock and appreciate the pretty vistas and serenity of the canal. Guests also have convenient access to the beach- just a short walk away.
A grille and fire pit are included, as well as, an outdoor shower with hot/cold water.
Guests also have the ability to rent the sister property (Coastal A) at the same time as Coastal B and be given access to the connecting door- so you can have the whole family stay.
The space
Coastal Soul B is a 2 bedroom, 1 bathroom duplex and a ideal place to spend a week or weekend away. This unit has handsome vistas of the sound and offers convenient access to the beach. Sit on the back patio or on the private dock and savor the serenity.
A grille and fire pit are supplied, as well as, an outdoor shower with hot/cold water.
Private dock (shared with Coastal A) is for fishing and sitting only. NO boat docking at this time.
Guest access
Guests have access to all parts of the duplex, a private patio and outdoor shower. Parking is in front of the unit on a paved area.
The dock is shared between both rental units.

About the Area

Atlantic Beach is home to this vacation home. North Carolina Maritime Museum and Core Sound Waterfowl Museum and Heritage Center are cultural highlights, and some of the area's activities can be experienced at Anchorage Marina and Triple S Marina. North Carolina Aquarium at Pine Knoll Shores and Professor Hacker's Lost Treasure Golf and Raceway are also worth visiting.

Get the most from your spending budget:

  • Book your rental as soon as possible. Rental schedules usually open twelve months in advance (or in September just after the Summer season ends). Many groups book their Summer vacation rentals during Winter holiday get-togethers. Reserve before these holidays for best selection.
  • June, July, and August are the most expensive months in the New Bern area. To get the largest rental home for your budget, we highly recommend booking in Spring or Fall. You'll benefit from lower rates, better selection, warm weather and the absence of large crowds at New Bern restaurants, beaches, and activities. Many vacationers use this method to reserve larger homes, or to book an oceanfront vacation rental that would otherwise be unaffordable during June, July, and August. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook the holidays for a New Bern vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday vacation near the ocean? Christmas, Thanksgiving, and New Years Eve are great times to gather with friends and family at the beach.
  • Active Duty and veterans of the US Armed forces may qualify for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective vacation rental company or host if your group qualifies for a special promotion or discount.
  • Property management companies often offer guests an option to add vacation insurance. Trip insurance, which normally costs anywhere between 1% - 5% of the booking price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for any missed time as a result of personal medical-related catastrophes or weather disasters, as well as ensuing additional evacuation costs, such as an unexpected hotel overnight or extra gasoline expenses. Trip insurance might be a a life-saver if the unforeseen occurs. Ask the property owner for details.

  • Inspect the rental a final time and look for damage. We recommend walking through with the property manager whenever you can. If the host is not available, ensure that you take photos and video of the property to record its condition at check-out.
  • Did your group have a terrific time? Many rental management companies make it easy for travelers to provide reviews. If your rental property and/or property management company was great, they would love to hear about it. If anything was inoperable and they failed to fix it in a reasonable manner, or if the vacation rental wasn't described correctly, you'll want to make it a point as part of your comments.
