Tricks and tips to get the very best New Bern rental home experience:
Getting the most from your rental budget:
- June, July, and August are the most expensive months along the coast of NC. Book your rental property in Spring or Fall to get the benefit of gorgeous weather while saving money and avoiding crowded roads, restaurants, and activities. Many vacationers use this strategy to reserve larger homes, or to book a beach front vacation rental that would otherwise be unaffordable during the Summer months.
- The earlier your group can book, the better your selection will be. The best vacation rentals are reserved early. Reserving your vacation rental up to 12 months before your vacation dates is recommended. Winter holidays are excellent times to plan and reserve your rental property.
- Some hosts offer promotional rates for veterans and active duty military. It's always a good idea to check with your property manager to see if rate reductions are available for your group before you book.
- Management companies and individual rental owners frequently offer their guests an option to obtain vacation insurance protection. Trip insurance, which generally costs 1% - 5% of the stay price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for days missed as a result of personal medical-related emergencies or weather, as well as hurricane evacuation costs or charges, such as an unexpected hotel overnight or additional gasoline expenses. Trip insurance might be a a life-saver if the unforeseen happens. Ask your property manager for program terms and fees.
- Look for your local New Bern visitors guide when you check-in. If your rental property doesn't have one, you can find them at local shops and visitor centers. In addition to great information, visitor guides contain offers and deals for nearby shops and restaurants.
How to select the perfect vacation rental in Atlantic Beach:
- First, have your family select a vacation week and a budget.
- Decide how many bedrooms and the configuration your family requires. Seaside Villas, 3 story, elevator, garage, 4 bedrooms, 3.5 bath. Sleeps 8-10 has 4 bedrooms and 4 bathrooms.
- Specific details about bedrooms and bed types is commonly accessible online. Otherwise, reach out to the host before you reserve the vacation property. Note that most listings specify the maximum guest capacity, which often includes pull-out couches.
- If there's a certain New Bern attraction you are enamored with, look for rentals that are either near by, or those that cater to your desires.
- Proper accessibility amenities can make or break a vacation for guests that require the use of a wheelchair. Confirm all required amenities are included before booking.
- If your family is traveling with pets, you'll need to search for a rental that allows animals. Ask for details on breed, size, and type requirements. Often, property managers charge pet deposits and fees.
Some things to know before you go:
- Take a copy of the owner's contact number and entry/exit procedures for your rental.
- To make sure that no damages are linked to your family's visit, inspect the property for any problem areas during arrival. Make contact with the host immediately to relay any damages. If there is a dispute about who is responsible, having a record of concerns and contact attempts will be helpful.
- Ask questions. You may need instructions for a fireplace, intercom or coffee maker. Contact your host. They are there to help! A brief phone call prevents quite a few problems.
- Respecting quiet hours and parking policies can make a stay significantly more pleasurable. Be a good neighbor. You'll enhance your chance to make local friends, and resident neighbors can be a terrific resource to find the best local beaches and hangouts.
- Don't forget to... Ask a local resident! Residents can typically help. Who better to ask where to charter a fishing boat, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for fishing?
- Lock your rental property while you're gone! Don't let burglars ruin your vacation.
- Double-check every room of the vacation property to confirm that you've packed all of your family's items at check-out. Remember to check bathrooms, garages, and back yards for hidden treasure. Remove everything from the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
- Document the condition of the property at check-out. We recommend taking a video during your final walk-through.
- Did you have a terrific vacation? Most rental home management companies make it easy for clients to provide feedback. If your property and/or host was great, they would love to hear it. If anything was amiss and they failed to address it in a reasonable manner, or if the vacation rental wasn't described correctly, you'll want to make it a point as part of your feedback.
